Cooperative Observation Form

Even with all of our current technology, lightning and thunder in snowstorms can still go unreported.  Nothing is as important as human observers providing ground truth observations. This is where you can help.  If you witness thunder and lightning during a snowstorm, please note the location, time, and date of your observation and report it using this web page.  Your report does not need to be made at the time when the thundsersnow is occurring, it can be made later. We ask only for an accurate report.  Also, while our research focuses on the central United States, we welcome all reports of snow with thunder and lightning.

In the area provided please discuss your observation. Be sure to include the time and location of the observation. Please try to be as specific as possible. Kindly indicate if we may contact you for further details. Then scroll down and push the Submit button.
